What causes an astigmatism?

The causes of astigmatism are because of the factors which make the cornea to have different shapes which leads the eye to have different focuses. These factors can be as follows:

Corneal disease like keratoconus

Corneal surgery like radial keratotomy or post graft

Corneal injury like sharp foreign body
