What is the best way to correct far-sightedness?

Answered By Lanny Frankel, Editor

In order to correct farsightedness, something must be done in order to change the way of how light rays curve as it enters the eye. An affected person can use contact lens, eye glasses or undergo a refractive surgery to correct far-sightedness.

A patient may need to use eye glasses and contact lens depending on his or her condition. He or she can also use the corrective devices whenever they want to see objects or when they are reading or stitching.

If corrective devices such as contact lens and glasses are not suited for you, there are available refractive surgeries such as PRK or Photorefractive keratectomy or LASIK surgery. These two surgical procedures will help you remove your dependence on corrective devices.
