Is the Lasik procedure painful?

Answered By Lanny Frankel, Editor

Patients will not experience any discomfort during the LASIK procedure because the eye was given an eye drop anesthesia before the procedure takes place. However, if the patient suffers from discomfort after the procedure, he or she can use an Ibuprofen or Tylenol on the first two days after the Lasik surgery.
